The 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is set to take place at Liberty Park from May 15-18. With a lineup of amazing entertainment and culinary events, attendees are sure to have a great time.
On Wednesday night, fans can enjoy Barbecue Sauce Wrestling, followed by alternative rock band Marcy Playground on Thursday. Local rock band Ingram Hill will perform on Friday, with DJ MicTee from K97 closing out the festivities on Saturday. All performances will take place at the Cattlemen’s Main Stage.
At the Home Depot Outdoor Kitchen, guests can meet and greet with pitmasters such as Moe Cason, Joe Davidson, Megan & Jason Day, Chris Lilly, and more. Free samples of delicious barbecue will also be available. The McCormick Demo Stage will offer culinary tips and a special meet and greet with Rocky Stubblefield of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce.
Those interested in judging barbecue can participate in the Kingsford Tour of Champions, where they can visit teams, sample barbecue, and cast their vote. Tickets for all events are available online.
