6 individuals and businesses recognized with visitor industry awards

Sioux Falls recognized six individuals and businesses for their outstanding contributions to the visitor industry at its annual awards ceremony on May 6, 2024. The Heart of the City Award was presented to Police Chief Jon Thum, who has shown exceptional leadership, inspiration, and a strong spirit in his efforts to support the visitor industry. The Business Award went to the Washington Pavilion, an organization that has demonstrated innovation, excellence, and a positive influence on the visitor industry. The First Impressions Awards were given to employees who consistently deliver exceptional customer service and make a positive impact on visitors. Lynnette Ingalls from 22Ten Kitchen Cocktails, Trisha Lux from Glo Best Western Dawley Farm Village, Kelly Woldt from Simply Perfect, and Allison Weiland, the executive director at The Sioux Falls State Theatre Co., were among the recipients.
