The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Southern Illinois University Carbondale to host Taste of Carbondale during Saluki Startup, the annual welcome festival for new and returning students. This special event will take place on August 14 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at SIU’s Student Services Building pavilion.
Local businesses are invited to sponsor the event and engage with attendees. While the focus is on food and beverage businesses, all types of local businesses are welcome to become sponsors. Sponsorship packages start at $500 and will help cover the costs of providing food samples. In addition, sponsors will have their company logos featured on the Taste of Carbondale website and may have additional promotional opportunities.
Taste of Carbondale is an extension of orientation and engagement opportunities for new Salukis, allowing them to get better acquainted with the campus, make new friends, and experience more of SIU before classes begin. By becoming a sponsor, businesses can showcase their products or services while also supporting the community.
