In a Nutshell 605, a new business specializing in nut butters, is set to hold a pop-up sale downtown this week. Owned by Kristin Catlett and Nyna Nygaard, the company is launching with three unique flavors of peanut and almond butter that are smooth yet crunchy, with varying levels of sweetness and saltiness depending on the flavor mixture.
The pop-up sale will take place at Josiah’s Coffeehouse, Cafe & Bakery, located at 104 W. 12th St., starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday and continuing until products are sold out. The flavors include Saylor’s S’mores, Henry’s Hankerin, and Rainbow Unicorn, each with its own unique ingredients and inspirations behind the recipes.
Catlett revealed that the pop-up sale is just the beginning phase of a larger vision for a unique retail space. The company plans to have an online presence for shipping orders directly to customers and hopes to open a physical storefront in the future. The storefront will include grinders for fresh nut butter and a self-service bar with a variety of candies and goodies.
While a website for In a Nutshell 605 is still in development, the company plans to sell their products in other local businesses such as Josiah’s Coffeehouse, Cafe & Bakery. The goal is to create a new and exciting option for nut butter enthusiasts in the area.
