Arab and Muslim nations demand sanctions on Israel after Riyadh meeting

On Sunday, April 28, the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry issued a statement regarding the situation in Gaza after a meeting of representatives from various countries in the Middle East region. The Ministerial Committee on Gaza meeting, led by Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, was attended by representatives from Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, as well as members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Palestine Liberation Organization.

During the meeting, the ministers emphasized the importance of international sanctions on Israel being implemented effectively in response to violations of international law and war crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. They also discussed ways to work towards achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and providing humanitarian aid to its residents.
