Mt Monger Resources Ltd. (AU:MTM) has announced an update on its Flash Joule Heating (FJH) prototype. The prototype has shown significant improvements in the recovery of rare earth elements and critical metals from coal fly ash.
Compared to traditional acid leach methods, the FJH prototype has increased recovery rates by as much as 514%. This represents a major advancement in the extraction of valuable metals from waste materials.
To further develop this sustainable technology, MTM Critical Metals Ltd. plans to expand testing to other metal-rich waste sources. By doing so, the company hopes to improve the economic viability of FJH and reduce acid use and waste in the leaching process.
