A new business in East Helena is providing residents with a unique and exciting experience. Brewer Creek Axe Throwing opened its doors on Tuesday, April 16, with a group of ten people learning and practicing their axe-throwing skills. Keith Brewer, one of the owners of the business, explains that axe coaches teach participants how to properly throw the axe to hit the target.
Keith and Galen Brewer were inspired to start the business through their love of travel. They noticed axe-throwing was a popular activity in cities like Spokane and Missoula, and wanted to bring that experience back to the Helena area. The idea for a mobile axe-throwing trailer was born and the trailer was built in November. The trailer has since been stationed at Missouri River Brewing in East Helena on Thursday and Friday nights.
Interested participants are encouraged to make reservations to secure a spot at Brewer Creek Axe Throwing. Walk-ins are also welcome depending on availability. The trailer offers other activities like cornhole, ladder golf, and Montana yard dice for those waiting for their turn to throw axes. Friendly competitions and the opportunity to try different axes are also part of the experience.
Brewer Creek Axe Throwing will be at Copper Furrow Brewing on Wednesday nights, Missouri River Brewing on Thursday nights, and Lewis and Clark Brewery on Sunday afternoons during the upcoming summer season. The goal of the business is to provide a fun and unique experience for people in the Helena area.
