In response to the growing trend of young people under 30 sharing aspects of their dates with friends and family, Tinder, the popular dating app, is launching a new feature called “Share My Date.” This feature allows users to share their date details with loved ones, making the dating experience more fun, safe, and respectful for all.
Melissa Hobley, Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized that “Share My Date” was designed to streamline the process of sharing date plans and allow users to focus on the fun aspects of getting ready for a date. With this feature, users can easily share details such as location, date, time, and a photo of their date through a simple link. They have control over who they share this information with and can schedule an unlimited number of dates up to 30 days in advance.
According to an internal survey conducted by Tinder, 18% of its users even share their date information with their mothers. This feature will be rolled out in various countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India and more in the coming months.
