Pierce County deputies retrieve truck belonging to business owner in Tacoma.

On Monday night, KIRO 7’s Jake Chapman received some good news after speaking with a Tacoma business owner who had been devastated by the theft of his box truck containing his entire gutter business. Ron Baker, the owner, feared he would have to start over from scratch after the incident occurred on Friday night.

Fortunately, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office informed KIRO 7 that the stolen truck had been recovered. However, it is still unclear if all the tools inside the truck were still present. The incident took place in the 30300 block of 72nd Avenue South in Roy, where deputies responded to an unwanted person call and found a man sleeping inside the stolen truck. The man was subsequently arrested.

KIRO 7 is actively seeking more information about the recovery of the truck and how Baker can purchase new tools and equipment to continue his business. In a gesture of support, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Baker in this endeavor. It is currently unknown whether any of the stolen equipment has been found or recovered.
