The Ravens were patient as they waited nearly four hours to make their first selection in this year’s draft. Their patience paid off as they selected former Clemson corner Nate Wiggins with the 30th overall pick. He is one of the top cornerbacks in this year’s class and will now be teammates with Marlon Humphrey, the last corner the Ravens took in the first round in 2017.
Wiggins made 11 starts during the 2022 season and was first-team All-ACC after the 2023 campaign. He had an impressive three college years, racking up 60 tackles, three interceptions, two interception returns for touchdowns, and two forced fumbles. Joining him in the secondary are Brandon Stephens, Ar’Darius Washington, Jalyn Armour-Davis, and Arthur Maulet.
The Ravens have a solid group of corners now, with Humphrey and Wiggins leading the way. This addition will only make them stronger and more formidable on defense.
