On April 25, a minor was sexually assaulted at the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) in Chicago. The incident occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., prompting police to search for the offender. The Chicago Police Department issued a community alert for the 3rd District regarding the assault, and the safety and well-being of visitors are a top priority.
According to the police report, the minor was separated from her group when the offender approached her and offered help. The offender then took the minor to the second floor of MSI where she requested to use the restroom. While in the restroom, the offender entered her stall, touched her inappropriately, and then fled when she kicked at him.
The offender is described as a male between 30 to 40 years old and 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3 in height with a light complexion, medium build, curly light brown hair, colored eyes, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue shirt, blue vest, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.
A spokesperson for MSI expressed concern for visitor safety and assured cooperation with law enforcement during their investigation into this matter. If anyone has information about this incident or suspects any other criminal activity at MSI or any other public place in Chicago, they are advised to contact authorities immediately so that justice can be served swiftly and efficiently.
