Police forcibly enter Dina Boluarte’s home in connection to the Rlex scandal.

The president of Peru was the subject of a police raid at her home in Boluarte on Friday night, with officers seizing three luxury Rolex watches as part of an investigation into alleged illicit enrichment and failure to testify. Footage from local media showed officers breaking the lock on the front door after receiving no response to repeated knocks. The president was not at home, with only one of her children present.

The investigation into the undeclared luxury watches continues, with ongoing legal proceedings and efforts to secure cooperation from President Pedro Castillo or his representatives.

Attorney General Juan Carlos Villena has accused Peru’s President Pedro Castillo of “illicit enrichment” after he refused to declare ownership of three Rolex watches worth millions during national election campaigning last year.

On Friday night, police conducted a raid on Castillo’s house in Boluarte district, seizing two Rolexes worth over $300k each along with other valuable items.
