The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington has made history by agreeing to divest from companies that profit from human rights violations in Palestinian territories. This decision sets the college apart as one of the few institutions to respond to student protests against Israel’s actions in Gaza. Over 154 campuses across the country have seen demonstrations in support of Gaza, with students demanding that institutions sever financial connections with Israel and weapons manufacturers.
