Oklahoma Wesleyan Baseball Takes the NAIA National Tournament Spot after Winning the KCAC Tournament

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball has clinched a spot in the NAIA National Tournament after winning the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. The team emerged undefeated from the weekend tournament in Great Bend, Kansas, ultimately claiming the KCAC Tournament title with a 6-4 victory over Kansas Wesleyan.

Ashton Luera came in to close out the game and secured the victory for the Eagles by shutting down the Coyotes. Oklahoma Wesleyan scored four runs in pivotal moments across the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, while their defense held strong and prevented Kansas Wesleyan from scoring in the last few innings.

Prior to the championship match, Oklahoma Wesleyan had defeated Friends with a 7-5 scoreline on Saturday, making their way to the final round of the tournament without any losses. The team is now eagerly awaiting the NAIA Tournament selection show on Thursday to determine their next steps for the Regional portion of the event.

Oklahoma Wesleyan’s successful run in the KCAC Tournament is a testament to their skill and determination on the field. Fans can look forward to seeing how they will perform as they continue their journey in this national event.
