On Wednesday, the final day for NFL teams to host draft prospects for visits to their facilities, the Vikings are taking advantage of an opportunity to meet with quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels’ agent, Ron Butler, confirmed that the Vikings will be hosting dinner with members of their organization in Baton Rouge on Thursday night.
The day before, Daniels had spent time with the Commanders, who hold the second overall pick in the upcoming draft. If the Commanders choose Daniels, the Vikings will only have the opportunity to meet with him during Thursday’s dinner. However, if Washington goes with another option, there is a possibility that Daniels could be in play for a trade up by the Vikings.
The Vikings have been considered as potential candidates to move up in order to select a quarterback with their 11th and 23rd picks in the first round. The decision on whether or not to make a trade will be one of the many storylines that will unfold leading up to the end of the first round next Thursday night.
