Australia’s T20I skipper Mitchell Marsh is excited about leading the team in their first major tournament as official captain. Marsh has been serving as interim captain for the past year and feels honored to represent his country in a World Cup.
The team has had some recent success and Marsh is optimistic that they will continue to perform well in what is expected to be a competitive tournament. The squad includes players like Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, David Warner, and Glenn Maxwell, among others. Teams have until May 25 to make changes to their squad, after which any alterations will need approval from the ICC’s Event Technical Committee.
Marsh and his team are gearing up for the challenge and aiming to make their mark in the T20 World Cup. The tournament kicks off with Australia facing Oman on June 5 in Barbados, followed by fixtures against England, Namibia, and Scotland in Group B.
