The Napoleon High School Robotics Team, Triple Triangularity, is set to compete in the VEX HS World Championship, scheduled for April 24-27 in Dallas, Texas. This year marks the second consecutive time that a team from Napoleon High has qualified for this prestigious event. Out of over 800 teams from around the world, Team 40684D will be competing against some of the best in robotics.
The team, made up of students Cameron Smith, Mason Keith and Griffin Keith, finished 11th out of 80 teams at the Skills Challenge State Championships held at Kettering University in Flint. However, their impressive score of 307 at the state championships raised their global ranking to 395 out of over 11,000 high school teams worldwide. This success is a testament to their hard work and dedication to robotics.
Adam Draa, the Math/Science/Technology Teacher and STEM Coach expressed pride in the team’s achievements this season. With a record of 55-28-1 in the regular season and several awards under their belt including Tournament Finalist Awards, Tournament Champion Award, Design Award, Innovation Awards and Skills Champion Awards; Team Triple Triangularity has shown exceptional dedication and skill. Coach Draa looks forward to watching them showcase their abilities on the global stage at VEX HS World Championship presented by Northrop Grumman Foundation and REC Foundation.
