Search continues for missing autistic boy (6) in Germany with drones, mounted police, and a team of 1200 volunteers.

In Bremervörde, Germany, a search for Arian, a 6-year-old boy with autism, has been ongoing for a week. On Sunday, about 1,200 people participated in the search. Despite extensive efforts by police and volunteers to locate him, there is no evidence of foul play or a possible wolf attack.

On Monday, Arian left his parents’ home and has been missing ever since. The police have stated that he is non-verbal and may not react if called. Search teams have been combing through impassable terrain tirelessly to find him, but a large part of the forces will now take a break according to a police spokeswoman.

On Sunday, a coordinated human chain of about 800 people was formed to systematically search every corner. Footprints believed to be Arian’s were found in the area, but it was later discovered that they belonged to someone else. Police efforts have included officers on horses inspecting canals, drones searching the area and avoiding making noise in hopes that Arian will come out of hiding. Various methods have been employed to attract him such as playing loud music and setting off fireworks. The search has covered a wide area including the river Oste.

Despite extensive efforts by authorities to locate him safely, Arian remains missing as the search continues on Monday morning.
