Meta Enhances Threads User Experience with New Post Archiving Feature

Meta is currently testing a new feature in Threads that allows users to archive their posts, either automatically after a certain period of time or manually with selected content. This feature aims to improve the user experience by giving them more control over the content in their feed. With this archiving option, users can hide posts and recover them later, similar to other social networks like Instagram.

Users can choose to archive specific posts manually by selecting them from their feed and choosing the ‘Archive now’ option from the menu. Alternatively, they can set up automatic archiving, where posts are archived automatically after a designated period of time has passed since their publication. Archived posts can be unarchived at any time if users decide to make them public again. This feature is currently being tested as an option, so users who wish to use automatic archiving will need to configure it in their account settings.

In other news, Threads has surpassed 150 million active users per month, as announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the company’s first quarter earnings report in 2024.
