Meadow Montessori School Celebrates Learning Through Science Fair: 17 Students Receive Ribbons in 2024 Competition

The Monroe News reported that seventeen Meadow Montessori School students received ribbons in the school’s 2024 Science Fair. This year, the event was held at the school and included students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Unlike other schools in the county, Meadow Montessori has continued to host a school-wide science fair since its inception in 1986.

The Science Fair coordinator, Meg Fedorowicz, emphasized that the fair is a celebration of learning and provides students with an opportunity to showcase their work and utilize the scientific method for critical thinking. Four judges reviewed each project and awarded prizes to the top three in five different age groupings: kindergarten through second grade, third and fourth grade, fifth and sixth grade, seventh and eighth grade.

The judges included Sarah Howard, Cale Piedmonte-Lang, Stephanie Slat, and Frank Tryrbon. Students who received ribbons in each age group included Zayn LaHart, Jaxton Thurwanger, Luka Madrid from kindergarten; Calvin Cunningham, Lennon Beamsley, Teddy Felder, Cash Guy, Maximus Humphreys from first and second grades; Jase Burbo, Etta Manley, Madison Smith from third and fourth grades; David Schall, Henry Wolbert, Landon Warshefski from fifth and sixth grades; Jack Hopps-Zunk
