The McDrummond family, owners of BnT’s American Treasures, are facing losses after their trailer was stolen from the vacant Yard Birds shopping center during a free giveaway process. The trailer, used for various purposes related to their estate and retail store cleaning business, was taken sometime after noon on Saturday when someone physically unbolted the gate of BnT’s and took it off its hinges.
Items from the mall, including personal belongings of the McDrummonds that they had not yet removed after the mall’s closure in 2022, are being placed outside along the walls of the structure as part of a giveaway initiated by owner Darris McDaniel to clear out the building for potential sale. However, liability concerns prevented anyone from entering the building during the giveaway process.
A police report has been filed for the stolen trailer, and a reward is being offered for any information leading to its recovery. Tana McDrummond, who reached out to the community for help in retrieving the trailer, can be contacted through her Facebook page. The giveaway at Yard Birds is ongoing, with new items being added daily.
