Junipero Serra High School in Gardena recently held a pep rally to celebrate the achievements of its innovative space squad. The team, made up of seniors Isaiah Dunn, Christopher Holbert, Travis Leonard, Anderson Pecot, and Henry Toler, junior Keith Davie, and freshman Jonathan Cruz, presented their 3D-printing experiment sent into space on the International Space Station. The rest of the students at the Catholic high school joined in the rally by cheering, asking questions, and praying.
Travis Leonard expressed his excitement about being pioneers in this field and setting a new path for future students at Serra. He said that their innovative work is not only groundbreaking but also inspires others to pursue science and exploration.
