Running back JK Dobbins has officially signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, as confirmed by his agency LAA Sports. This move comes after Dobbins spent four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and will now be heading to the West Coast to join his new team at SoFi Stadium. Notably, he will be reuniting with his former offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who will be serving the same role with the Chargers.
Despite facing setbacks last season due to injuries, Dobbins has shown his talent on the field with 1,347 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 27 receptions for 177 yards receiving, and one touchdown through the air in his career. The Chargers are looking to improve their rushing game, given their struggles in the previous season. They ranked 25th in yards rushing, had one of the lowest yards per carry averages, and lacked rushing touchdowns. Their offense as a whole faced challenges, prompting the need for more options to support quarterback Justin Herbert. With new head coach Jim Harbaugh leading the team, the Chargers are focused on making necessary changes and enhancements for the upcoming season.
