Atlanta-based restaurant holding company Inspire Brands announced on Tuesday the appointment of Yasir Anwar as its chief technology officer. With a background in building in-house and agile technology teams, Anwar has most recently served as the chief technology and digital officer of Williams-Sonoma and previously as the CTO of Macy’s. He has also held tech leadership positions at Walmart and Wells Fargo.
In his new role, Anwar will oversee various teams, including product engineering, data engineering, technology operations, architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and infrastructure and development operations. Paul Brown, co-founder and CEO of Inspire Brands emphasized the company’s commitment to developing shared technology capabilities for its renowned brands.
Anwar expressed his excitement about joining Inspire Brands and contributing to the organization’s technology strategy while working with iconic brands. He officially joined Inspire Brands on May 6 and reports directly to Paul Brown, as well as serving on the company’s management committee.
