The stock market experienced a day of mixed results, with some companies experiencing gains while others saw losses. Greenwave Technology Solutions (GWAV) led the way with a 21% increase in its stock price, followed closely by Serve Robotics (SERV) with a 16% gain. AerSale (ASLE) and Plug Power (PLUG) also had positive days, up 12% and 10% respectively. Vestis (VSTS) rounded out the top gainers with a 9% increase.
However, not all companies fared well on this particular day. Forward Air (FWRD) suffered a significant decrease of 22% in its stock price, while Alta Equipment Group (ALTG) and BGSF (BGSF) both lost 18%. Mingteng International Corporation (MTEN) and Safe & Green Holdings Corp (SGBX) also experienced losses of 16% and 15% respectively.
In terms of sector performance, the S&P 500 Industrials Sector saw a slight increase of 0.7%, reaching a new high of 1059.63. The Capital Goods sector, which accounts for about two-thirds of the index’s weight, also had a positive day, increasing by 0.79% to hit an all-time high of 1156.81. Additionally, the Commercial & Professional Services and Transportation sectors also showed gains, up by just over half percent each.
