New HMD Pulse smartphones boast 59-hour battery life and easy repair design

In a bid to expand its market presence, HMD has recently unveiled its first line of smartphones under the new brand name, HMD Pulse. The series includes three models that boast up to 59 hours of battery life and feature user-friendly designs that allow for easy self-repair with iFixit.

The HMD Pulse series features three different models: Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro. All three phones come equipped with a Unisoc T606 processor but vary in memory configurations. The design of these smartphones is modern and sleek, featuring elegant lines and a smooth back panel with a metallic finish. The Pulse model is available in pink and black, while the Pulse+ comes in orange and black, and the Pulse Pro is available in green, purple, and black.

All three models have a 6.65-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The standout feature of the Pulse Pro model is its impressive 50MP main camera and 50MP front camera for selfies. The Pulse+ model also includes a 50MP rear main camera, while the standard Pulse model has a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front camera.

The battery capacity of these smartphones ranges from 5,000 mAh to 5,280 mAh, providing up to 59 hours of battery life on average. They support fast wired charging with different power outputs for each model. The HMD Pulse series runs on Android 14 and offers two years of system updates and three years of security updates as part of their commitment to sustainability and user empowerment. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi calling support (available on some carriers), Bluetooth 5.2 or higher versions (depending on country), USB-C port (USB C version depends on carrier), NFC support (depending on carrier), headphone jack (available only on some models), fingerprint sensor (available only on some models) or face unlock (available only on some models).

One unique feature of the HMD Pulse series is the ability for users to repair their smartphones themselves using iFixit repair kits.
