Ava Goldsmith, a senior from Kennedy High School in Bellmore, NY has been recognized as one of 15 students on Long Island who have earned a spot in the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair. This event will take place until May 11 in Los Angeles. Goldsmith’s research project delves into the implications of breast cancer therapy, with a specific focus on a cancer-promoting network called the “epichaperome.” Each year, millions of high school students from all over the world participate in Regeneron-affiliated science fairs. However, only around 1,600 students qualify to compete for nearly $5 million in awards, scholarships, and internships.
