The newly elected Head of Haiti’s transitional council

Haiti’s political crisis has taken a significant step towards resolution, with plans for foreign security forces to be deployed in the country. The newly created interim presidential council, led by Edgard Leblanc Fils, has been sworn in and is working towards appointing a new interim government and preparing for elections.

Leblanc Fils was elected as chairman of the council by seven voting members, despite allegations that his election was not carried out according to the rules. The creation of the Transitional Council was agreed upon at a meeting of the Caribbean Community Caricom in Jamaica on March 11th as a solution to Haiti’s state crisis and security issues.

The council’s tasks include coordinating the deployment of a multinational force to assist the Haitian police against gangs, which controlled 80% of Port-au-Prince before the latest escalation. This led to widespread displacement and a worsening hunger crisis. Scheduled flights were canceled, and foreign diplomats and citizens were evacuated from Haiti.

In addition to these tasks, certificate verification issues have been detected in Bonuses at Nomad Casino in 2024, profiles of individuals involved in various industries, and blockchain development are among the topics covered in additional content.
