The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently returned home after competing in the World competition held in Houston, Texas. The team had earned a spot in the tournament following their impressive performance in the state competition.
During the competition, which lasted for three days, the BraveBots competed on Johnson Field and emerged victorious in their last seven games, finishing with a record of 8-2. They were partnered with teams from North Carolina and California and were named alliance captains. Although they defeated the #3 alliance, they ultimately lost to the #7 alliance, who went on to win the tournament.
Coach Tim Barron commended his team for their hard work during the competition, particularly their efforts in scouting 125 games. He also praised the senior members for their leadership skills and contributions to the team’s success. Barron expressed gratitude towards the mentors who dedicated their time and expertise to help guide the team towards victory.
Although some graduating seniors have bid farewell to the team, Barron is optimistic about its future thanks to the talented underclassmen on board. With renewed energy and determination, he looks forward to helping them achieve even greater success in future competitions.
