In recent news, a study by the World Health Organization has revealed that girls in the UK are more likely to engage in underage drinking, smoking, and vaping than boys. The study analyzed data from 280,000 children aged 11, 13, and 15 from 44 countries and found that two-fifths of girls in England and Scotland have vaped by the age of 15, a higher rate than in many other developed nations.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jo Inchley, the international coordinator for the study called Health Behavior In School-Aged Children shared some of the key findings from the research. Elsewhere, SaxaVord Spaceport in Shetland has been granted a crucial safety license by the Civil Aviation Authority. This allows them to clear and control the downrange zone during launches and secure maritime and aviation traffic during rocket launches.

In other news, Rosemary Coogan, the UK’s new ESA astronaut is currently undergoing training in microgravity. Coogan and her colleagues recently experienced their first parabolic flight with Airbus’s Zero G A310 plane which created short periods of weightlessness. They had to learn essential skills like performing CPR while anchored upside down and resisting the urge to “swim” in microgravity.

Moreover, a study has found that breast cancer survivors are at significant risk of developing entirely new cancers causing shares of Meta to drop after revealing its spending plans. Research also suggests that one’s surname could impact their education and career outcomes.
