The upcoming action film “Normal,” starring Bob Odenkirk, has been sold to territories and distributors worldwide after its launch at the EFM earlier this year by WME Independent. The film will be directed by Ben Wheatley and written by Derek Kolstad, who previously collaborated with Odenkirk on the hit TV show “Better Call Saul.”
The story follows Ulysses, played by Odenkirk, who becomes the temporary sheriff of the town “Normal” after the previous sheriff’s death. When the town’s bank is robbed by an out-of-town couple, Ulysses uncovers deeper, sinister secrets lurking beneath the surface of the seemingly peaceful town.
Produced by Marc Provissiero, Bob Odenkirk, and Derek Kolstad, the film is set to begin shooting but an official date has not been announced yet. Zach Glueck of WME Independent praised the script by Kolstad, stating that it combines fun and scale that audiences crave and perfectly showcases Odenkirk’s talents as a global star.
