Billie Eilish joins Fortnite update as aggressive emotes removed

Billie Eilish has joined the Fortnite Festival with an exclusive skin and special style that can be unlocked through the Festival Pass. With the v29.30 update, players can now filter out certain emotes considered “aggressive,” such as “Laugh It Up,” “Take the L,” “Whipcrack,” and “Make it Plantain.” These emotes will be displayed as still images without any dancing or music. Players have the option to configure the setting to only show these emotes when performed by friends or hide them completely.

The group of four mentioned has sparked controversy for their perceived toxicity and confrontational nature, leading many players to express concerns about their use. The update aims to enhance the player experience by allowing them to customize their gameplay and enjoy new content related to popular music artists like Billie Eilish. The Fortnite Festival features various pieces of music from Eilish’s discography, along with an exclusive Eilish skin in the game’s item shop and a special style that can be unlocked through the Festival Pass.
