Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss recently came out in support of Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming US presidential elections. In her view, the world was safer under Trump’s leadership due to his more confrontational stance towards Iran and China. She also lauded Trump’s support for Ukraine. Truss believes that if Trump had been reelected in 2020, the world would be in a different place today.
When asked about her feelings on Trump’s potential return to the White House, Truss made it clear that she wanted to see him back in office. She praised Trump for his effectiveness in stopping aggressive regimes from expanding their influence. However, Trump is currently facing legal troubles as the first US ex-president to be criminally prosecuted on charges related to falsifying business records. Additionally, he is facing three other criminal cases related to hoarding top-secret documents after leaving office and attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. To make matters worse, Trump was impeached twice during his presidency.
On the other hand, President Joe Biden has encountered obstacles in returning to the White House, with some voters expressing concerns about his age and ability to serve another term. Despite these challenges, Truss remains optimistic that if Trump were able to overcome his legal issues and return to office, he could have a positive impact on global politics once again.
