She believes that the world was safer when Trump was President of the United States and cited his aggressive stance towards Iran and China as well as his support for Ukraine.
In an interview with the BBC and LBC, Truss stated that it would be beneficial for the world if Trump were reelected in 2020. She emphasized that Trump was successful in preventing aggressive regimes from expanding and his reelection could lead to a different outcome for the world. However, Trump is currently facing legal challenges as the first ex-president in US history to be criminally prosecuted. He is accused of falsifying business records, hoarding top-secret documents, and attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Despite these legal troubles, Truss still believes that Trump would be a better option for the presidency compared to Joe Biden.
