The horrifying moment when arsonists targeted an eyelash business in Kendall was captured on surveillance footage. The incident occurred early Thursday morning at a store specializing in eyelash extensions, located on the corner of Bird Road and SW 97th Avenue in Olympia Heights.
The video footage revealed critical moments leading up to the fire, showing two unidentified men inspecting the store before returning with a rock to break the glass. The individuals proceeded to throw gasoline on the building and ignite it, resulting in the destruction of everything that store owner Indira Ortega had painstakingly built.
Ortega stated to NBC6 that she has suspicions about the identities of the arsonists, but the matter is currently under investigation. She mentions that they have a potential lead regarding the individual responsible for the destruction of her business, which resulted in approximately $45,000 in damages.
