Health Connect, a new podcast by Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS), is set to explore the connections between its services and the communities it serves. The podcast will feature discussions about new physicians/providers, cutting-edge technology, and the intricacies of healthcare in Northwest Ohio.
The first episode of Health Connect was released on April 18 and can be found on major podcasting platforms as well as the BVHS website. Each episode is approximately 20 minutes long, providing listeners with a concise and informative look into the world of healthcare.
Health Connect is co-hosted by Eric Proctor, the chief people officer at BVHS, and Sam Sprunger, a podcaster from Bluffton. Proctor will share insights into the BVHS culture, career opportunities, and highlight the unique stories of patients, associates, and medical staff within the organization. Sprunger, on the other hand, will bring a layperson’s perspective, offering a fresh and curious outlook on the healthcare industry.
Sprunger expressed excitement about his role in hosting Health Connect: “I’m thrilled to be part of this project that highlights not only what makes BVHS unique but also connects it to the community it serves.” He believes that this platform will provide an opportunity for listeners to gain a better understanding of what goes on behind closed doors in healthcare.
Proctor shares Sprunger’s enthusiasm: “We hope that through Health Connect we can showcase our organization as a connected care network that caters to individuals of all ages and needs. We want our community to get to know us better and learn about what makes us special.”
