The annual COSI Science Festival is kicking off with a series of community events leading up to the grand Big Science Celebration on May 4. This year, the festival promises to be more exciting than ever, with over 100 exhibitor stations showcasing the latest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Local STEAM professionals from organizations such as Ohio State University, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources will be running the exhibits. Visitors can learn about a wide range of topics, from insects to aerospace, through engaging displays and demonstrations.
Among the many exhibits at the Science Celebration this year are some that are particularly intriguing. The National Veterans Memorial and Museum will explore Washington’s Spy Ring and Invisible Ink. New Albany High School will showcase their Robotics Club and Rocketry Club. Other exhibits include Roto’s Cardboard Columbus creation activity, The Boeing Company’s Aerospace Manufacturing display, and the Ohio History Connection’s presentation on Ohio’s playful past.
