David Walters, an experienced business development and sales leader in the energy industry, has been appointed as the new director of autogas business development at the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). In his new role, Walters will be responsible for developing strategic market plans to increase the adoption of propane autogas and supporting research and development of innovative products in the industry.
Tucker Perkins, president and CEO of PERC, expressed confidence in Walters’ ability to drive sustainable energy solutions in the transportation sector. With over 25 years of experience in business development and sales leadership, including a focus on hydrogen and RNG, Walters is well-equipped for his new position. Previously, he served as national sales manager at Atlas Copco Compressor, where he led business development efforts across multiple regions in North America.

He invites collaborators to connect with him to explore potential partnerships and opportunities to drive the adoption of cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions together. Walters holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and business from Cabrini University (Villanova) and is taking over from Steve Whaley, who recently transitioned to the role of alternative fuels manager at Blue Bird Corp.
