From April 22 to 26, the European Commission will be attending the Hannover Messe, one of the world’s largest industrial fairs, to emphasize the importance of enhancing the EU’s industrial competitiveness on a global scale. The first day of the fair will kick off with a conference, followed by presentations and round tables in the stand auditorium, each focusing on a specific theme. This marks the EU’s third consecutive year participating in the fair, where they will also have a support corner for attendees to engage with industry experts and learn about relevant policies and financing opportunities.
On April 23, European Energy Day will be held at Hannover Messe with the theme of “Clean, accessible and safe energy.” The day will feature a one-day conference with Mechthild Wörsdörfer, Deputy Director General of the Energy DG covering topics related to energy such as the European Wind Energy Package, European Grids Action Plan, biomethane, hydrogen, solar energy, sustainable batteries and energy efficiency. Additionally, a new voluntary initiative called “Code of Practice on Interoperable Smart Energy Appliances” will be introduced during this event.
