Duke retains three players from previous season as seventh player enters transfer portal

Duke basketball star Sean Stewart has announced his decision to enter the transfer portal, becoming the seventh player from last season’s roster to do so. With only three players from the Elite Eight team expected to return next season, the Blue Devils are facing significant turnover. However, they can take comfort in their incoming freshman class, which includes the top-ranked recruit in the country, Cooper Flagg.

Flagg is joined by several other five-star recruits, including Kon Kneuppel, Isaiah Evans, and Khaman Maluach. The Blue Devils also have a few four-star recruits to round out their class. Despite strong recruiting classes, head coach Jon Scheyer has yet to reach the Final Four in his tenure. However, with a new group of talented young players and an active transfer portal strategy, Duke fans are hopeful for a deeper tournament run in the upcoming season.
