Just a few minutes earlier at 9:04 am ET, Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers opted to stay put at No. 5 and chose Notre Dame’s Joe Alt. The first wide receiver off the board, Marvin Harrison Jr., was picked by the Cardinals at 8:54 am ET. The Patriots made a move at No. 3, selecting Drake Maye at 8:49 am ET. The Washington Commanders followed with Jayden Daniels at No. 2 overall at 8:42 am ET. The Chicago Bears kicked off the draft by selecting Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall at 8:36 am ET.
