On Friday (19 April), the Doha World Cup continued with impressive performances from gymnasts from around the world. In the uneven bars final, Kaylia Nemour of Algeria clinched the gold medal with a score of 15.366, beating out Levi Ruivivar from the Philippines by over a point. Alena Tsitavets from neutral nations took home the silver with a score of 13.600.
In women’s competition, Karla Navas from Panama won the vault title with an average score of 13.850, while An Chang Ok from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea came in second place with a score of 13.833. Valentina Georgieva from Bulgaria took home the bronze medal with a score of 13.466.
Moving on to men’s competition, Milad Karimi from Kazakhstan emerged victorious in the floor exercise final with a score of 14.766, just edging out Team GB’s Luke Whitehouse who scored 14.566 for second place. Karimi’s compatriot Dmitriy Patanin grabbed third place with a score of 14.500.
The highly competitive pommel horse final saw Jordan’s Ahmad Abu Al Soud secure first place with an impressive score of 15.500, ahead of Chinese Taipei’s Lee Chih Kai who scored 15
