Large Snake Missing in Dessau-Roßlau Residential Area

A dangerous boa constrictor is on the loose in Dessau-Roßlau, Saxony-Anhalt. The snake, reportedly up to three meters long, has been spotted in a residential area and residents are fearful as they have never seen such a creature before. The only clue authorities have is a two-meter-long snake skin found in a stairwell of a new building, indicating it could be a king snake.

Since Sunday, emergency services have been on high alert but as of Tuesday, the boa constrictor has not been found. Firefighters searched the building and cellars using thermal imaging cameras but were unable to locate the snake. There is speculation that someone may have played a prank, as obtaining a real snake skin is difficult.

Boa constrictors are native to South America and can grow up to three meters long. They kill their prey by entangling and strangling them with their powerful muscles. Keeping such an exotic animal requires approval from an official veterinarian in Saxony-Anhalt. Residents of Viethstrasse, where the snake skin was found, have been questioned but no illegal keeping of snakes has been reported.

The search for the boa constrictor continues and residents are urged to remain cautious until it is found. Authorities advise residents not to approach the snake if they encounter it and to contact them immediately for assistance.
