Croatia’s Defense Modernization: Procuring Multi-Purpose Ships and Enhancing Air Force Capabilities with Rafale Fighter Planes

The Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, announced that the next major project under his leadership will be the procurement of multi-purpose ships. This was revealed following the ceremonial arrival of the first group of Rafale multi-purpose fighter planes in Croatia from Bordeaux, France.

Plenkovic emphasized the importance of strengthening the Croatian Navy by acquiring multi-purpose ships to complement the multi-purpose planes already in service. He highlighted a strategic partnership between Croatia and France and praised France’s advanced military technology and capabilities, which will significantly enhance the Croatian Air Force.

The arrival of six Rafale fighter jets marked a significant milestone in Croatia’s defense capabilities.
