The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Foundation is currently inviting grant applications for its Technology in Schools Program, which aims to enhance classroom technology for students in Santa Barbara County schools. Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2024, and can be done through the foundation’s website at www.chumash.gov/foundation.
This program provides school administrators and faculty members with funding for specific technology projects that will improve the learning experience of their students. Grants can be used for purchasing hardware, upgrading infrastructure, incorporating high-tech resources, and enhancing curriculum offerings.
Since its inception in 2015, the Technology in Schools Program has awarded more than $430,000 in grants to local schools. In the 2023-2024 school year, recipients included Cabrillo High School, Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy, Carpinteria High School, Lompoc High School, Dunn School, and La Honda STEAM Academy.
