At the National Mall in Washington, DC, US, representatives from leading wheat and wheat foods groups gathered to celebrate modern agriculture. The event showcased the latest advancements in agricultural technology used by growers, ranchers, equipment makers, and input suppliers. The group included Bill Dumais from the American Bakers Association, Jane DeMarchi from the North American Millers’ Association, Chandler Goule from the National Association of Wheat Growers, Jake Westin from NAWG, and Catherine Miller from US Wheat Associates.
The celebration took place from May 6-8 near the US Department of Agriculture headquarters on the south side of the Mall. During this time attendees had the opportunity to learn about innovative methods and tools being used in modern agriculture to improve efficiency and sustainability. Didier Rosada, a master baker with Uptown Bakers in Hyattsville, Maryland also displayed bread baked using these cutting-edge techniques.
