The world of science and medicine is constantly evolving, with new ideas and innovations emerging every day. To recognize these trailblazers and highlight their achievements, STAT has created an annual event called Wunderkinds. This year’s Wunderkinds are a diverse group of scientists and researchers who are making groundbreaking strides in their respective fields.
During the event, past Wunderkinds will come together to discuss their current journeys and share their most inspiring and innovative ideas. Some of the featured speakers include Nicole M. Gaudelli, Ph.D., an entrepreneur at GV who invented the Adenine Base Editor, a gene-editing tool, and Kellie Jurado, Ph.D., a professor at the University of Pennsylvania researching immune system response to viral infections in early life. Bianca Jones Marlin, Ph.D., from Columbia University investigates the inheritance of trauma and stress biologically, while Siddhartha Roy, Ph.D., from Rutgers University focuses on ensuring safe drinking water access for all in light of the Flint Water Crisis.
The moderator for this enlightening conversation is Nicholas St. Fleur, a general assignment reporter and associate editorial director of events at STAT. Be sure to tune in at 1 p.m. ET for this inspiring event that celebrates the bright future of science and medicine.
