Small Nation’s Nick Davis and Jason Duff recently took part in the Small Business Showcase in honor of National Small Business Week. The event, hosted by the House Committee on Small Business and Chairman Rep. Roger Williams, brought together 15 small businesses from across the country to recognize the contributions of Main Street businesses.

During the showcase held in the U.S. Capitol Building, Duff, Davis, and Karen Kerrigan from the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council shared insights about Small Nation’s work in revitalizing small towns. They highlighted projects like Six Hundred Downtown Pizzeria, Brewfontaine craft beer bar, and the Historic Opera Block project in Downtown Bellefontaine.

The event was attended by important figures like House Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Whip Tom Emmer. Duff expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate Small Business Week on Capitol Hill and emphasized the importance of advocacy for Main Street businesses.

In addition to Small Nation, other small businesses from various states also participated in the showcase. Kerrigan commended the entrepreneurial spirit of businesses like Small Nation and expressed her appreciation for their advocacy efforts. The event was well received by members of Congress and House GOP leadership who recognized the significant role of small businesses in economic growth.

Kerrigan also spoke about how important it is for small business owners to be involved in their communities and support local causes that benefit everyone around them.

During his speech at the event, Duff highlighted how critical it is for small business owners to be advocates for their own communities.

“Small business owners have a unique opportunity to make a real difference in their communities,” said Duff.

“By supporting local initiatives and speaking out against policies that harm small businesses, we can create a more vibrant future for our towns.”
