Charlotte has recently launched a new grant program called Start-Scale-Sustain (S3) to support Business District Organizations (BDOs) located within the Corridors of Opportunity. This grant is designed specifically to aid these organizations in their mission to serve local businesses within the area.
To be eligible for the grant, nonprofits must have an existing or pending 501(c)3 or 501(c)6 designation and represent at least 10 businesses in the business district they serve. Additionally, they must have an active SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier or fiduciary/fiscal sponsor with a UEI.
The application deadline for the S3 grant is June 14 at 5 p.m., and a question-and-answer webinar will be held by city staff on May 16 at 11 a.m. To participate in the webinar, individuals must register by emailing corridorsofopportunity@charlottenc.gov and submit questions in advance by emailing the same address. More information on the grant program and application guidelines can be found on the S3 grant webpage.
This new grant program represents an exciting opportunity for BDOs located within Charlotte’s Corridors of Opportunity to receive financial support for their efforts to promote economic growth and development within their community.
