106-year-old skydiver Blaschke breaks record twice in inspiring tale of perseverance and courage

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently joined 106-year-old Alfred “Al” Blaschke on a skydiving adventure, marking the occasion as Blaschke’s second Guinness World Records title. Originally, Blaschke had earned the title of the oldest person to tandem skydive in 2020 when he was just 103 years old. However, that record was later broken by Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson from Sweden, who jumped at the age of 103 years and 259 days old.

Determined to reclaim his title, Blaschke took another leap of faith and went skydiving once again at the age of 106 years and 327 days old. His positive mindset and adventurous spirit were truly inspiring. When asked about his experience, Blaschke shared some words of wisdom with everyone who heard him. He encouraged people not to underestimate themselves and said that everyone is more capable than they think if only they have the courage to try something new.
